Add the name Roddy Hatch to the growing list of people who want to fill the Chatham County Commission seat in District 4. Hatch officially announced his bid today in front of family and friends at Forsyth Park in Savannah. He joins three other Republicans in the District 4 race.
Hatch is a school teacher in Chatham County. He says he'll be focusing on three issues: fighting county-city consolidation, fixing roads, and creating a fund to help pay for special projects. "I care about this city," he said. "Being a native of it, I will work for you because I remember when this city was run by 12 people. And now it is run by many many people and I want to see that continue to happen."
The four candidates will face off in a Republican primary in July.
