The G-8 summit is about three months away and there are a lot of questions surrounding the big event. This afternoon, city leaders met at the Chamber of Commerce to announce a new official G-8 website for Savannah and Chatham County.
It was created to provide a clear line of communication between the government and city entities, but the website's creators say it will also be a great tool for area residents. "Someone might need to know about their morning commute getting to work," explained systems analyst Lee Heidel. "Also information about if there are larger disturbances or even minor instances. We want people to be well informed about the events going down in regards to G8."
