Verizon experts instructing free smartphone workshops

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah is now offering free workshops at Verizon Wireless on Abercorn Street to instruct smartphone users how to utilize their devices.

Verizon experts will be available on a number of days this month from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For Android users, experts will answer questions on transferring content from a device, social networking accounts, setting up multiple E mail accounts, using the browsers, troubleshooting and much more March 26.

Interested individuals can also learn the basics of the new Android Device, including hardware functions, master device features, social networking accounts, how to customize your device March 16 and March 19.

For iPhone users, experts will teach the great features of Apple's iPhone 4s March 12, March 24, and March 30. These include what's new with iPhone 4S, how to navigate and customize the device, demonstrate performing tasks such as setting up email, using the camera & camcorder functions, getting the most out of Siri, the Notification Center, iCloud and more.

Lastly, they will also teach the features of the Apple iPhone 4. These include, basic hardware functionality and features of the Apple iPhone 4 such as: iPod, photos, multitasking and The App Store March 31.

During all sessions, participants will also have a chance to practice using these features on the iPhone 4 and learn about valuable resources available to you beyond the workshop.
