3rd Infantry Division wins culinary competition

Competitors from across the 3rd I.D. took part in the 37th annual culinary competition in Fort Lee, Va. and brought back the gold.

The 3rd I.D. team, made up of 19 competitors from across the Third Infantry Division, won first place in several categories including chef of the year, student chef of the year, student team, the knowledge owl and installation of the year for Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield.
The service men and women competed against 335 individual competitors and 22 teams in more than 850 separate categories and won 21 gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal.
