SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metro Police have released a list of road closures for St. Patrick's Day.
The public safety corridor will go in on River Street Wednesday and will be taken down Monday.
No parking signs, which means parking is prohibited and towing will be enforced the next day at the posted time. The signs will be placed on River Street ramps at 8 a.m. Thursday and in City Market at 4 p.m.
No parking signs will be posted along the parade route at 1 p.m. Friday. City Market and River Street will close to traffic at 5 p.m. Bay Street will close traffic at 6 p.m. contingent on pedestrian traffic.
Traffic officers will clear the parade route at 6 a.m. Saturday. Road closures will take place between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., depending on pedestrian traffic. The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m. River Street, Bay Street and City Market, which encompasses everything from Whitaker Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Bay to Broughton streets, will be closed to traffic during the parade.
Deliveries will take place on River Street until 10 a.m.
