NYC Band Performs for Savannah Seniors

Some local seniors citizens got a special treat this afternoon as  the New York Shields Pipes and Drums Band gave them a free show. The performance was a chance for the seniors to take part in St. Patrick's Day festivities. Many of them won't be able to make it downtown for the celebration.

New York has its own celebrations, but band members say Savannah's event is some serious competition. "Outrageous. It's a beautiful city with beautiful people," said band member Sean Flanagan. "NYC may have the biggest parade, but Savannah has the best."

The New York Shields Pipes and Drums Band will be in the savannah saint patrick's day parade tomorrow.
