SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Allstate Insurance Co. and the National Safety Council is warning drivers to stay safe on St. Patrick's Day.

They offer these driver safety tips:

Have a designated driver, use public transportation or a free towing program if you know you'll be consuming alcoholic beverages.

Report a suspected drunk driver immediately to the authorities. Provide as many details as possible (i.e., license plate number, make, model and color of vehicle, direction vehicle is traveling, physical description of driver).

If you see an impaired driver on the highway, maintain a safe following distance and don't attempt to pass.

Make sure children are properly buckled up child safety seats or seat belts.
