The luck of the Irish was shining down on Savannah today, but in Toombs County, students count their blessings everyday. That's because they are lucky to have a teacher like Rosemary Warnock. She teaches language arts at Toombs County Middle School.
Warnock says she feels right at home in classroom. "Because I love kids and I believe in them," she told us. "Although I was born in the age of the dinosaur, a dream of mine was to be a teacher and make learning fun for that's what I strive to do."
Warnock has been an educator for over 20 years and still gets excited about helping a student learn. "The feeling they get when they realize the child is understanding, there's nothing compared to it," she said.
Student Rick Stewart told us, "She makes us look forward to this class every day, she makes it fun and she does not teach objective she makes all students learn."
"I want them to know I care about them," said Warnock. "That it's okay, not to be perfect just do the best they can."
Rosemary Warnock, this week's WTOC Top Teacher.
