STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Three people were arrested on drug charges on Thursday after investigators with the Bulloch County Drug Suppression Team saw a car with two occupants acting suspiciously around Statesboro pharmacies.

Investigators suspected that the people in the car were trying to buy ingredients to make methamphetamine so they pulled over the vehicle, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

Scott Allen Lank, 42, of Statesboro, and Russell Wayne Hickox, 26, of Ellabella, consented to a search of the vehicle. Meth and the components to manufacture meth were found in the car during the search, according to the sheriff's office.

Lank and Hickox were arrested and transported to the Bulloch County Jail. They're charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, according to the sheriff's office.

A follow up investigation led investigators to an apartment at the Mill Creek Lodge on US 301 north. Items to manufacture methamphetamine, a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the search, according to the sheriff's office.

Tracy Jean Lively, 41, of Statesboro, who was in the room at the time of the search, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.

Lank, Lively and Hickox remain at the Bulloch County Jail pending further judicial action.
