Pilot of Downed Plane Doing Well

The man whose single-engine plane crashed yesterday in Effingham County could be released from the hospital as soon as tonight. 60-year-old Bill Glenn of Wilmington Island suffered a hairline skull fracture and multiple facial cuts after the brand-new engine of his Cessna 182 failed.

Glenn tried to land, but his plane clipped some trees and nose-dived into the landing strip at Cypress Lakes Flying Community in Eden. His family says he's doing well.
