SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The 200 club of the Coastal Empire received donations through its sixth annual Savannah Charity Ride March 24 from the Buffalo Soldiers, a national motorcycle club of military, law enforcement and other professional affiliations.
The Charity Ride, which was hosted by the Savannah Chapter of the National Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, raised $2,500 toward the 200 club.
Each rider donated $15 each and $5 for a passenger.
The club included 160 rides from Savannah and various states along with members of the Blue Knights, a Savannah club of law enforcement officers.
The ride ended with a police escort to Johnson Square where Otis "Viper" Smith, president of the Savannah Chapter, presented a replica of the check to 200 Club President Mark Dana.
