COLUMBIA, SC (WTOC) - The Mega Million lottery jackpot for Tuesday is estimated at $363 million.
"When we have a jackpot of this magnitude, its gets attention. Those that don't play very often decide to take a chance. As always, we encourage players to please, above all else, play responsibly," said Paula Harper Bethea, South Carolina Education Lottery Executive Director, in a news release.
Mega Millions came to South Carolina two years ago, but no one has been lucky enough to win. The jackpot has been growing since a metro Atlanta woman won the top prize in late January.
"Oh man. Never have to work again. There is so much that I would do with it. Definitely help my family and do a lot of stuff. Give back to a lot of people," said Cristy Scarboro, Mega Millions player.
Mega Millions tickets are $1 per play. If players want their winnings to increase, they can buy a Megaplier for $1.The drawing will be held at 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
