A Savannah man is recovering from injuries he received after a brutal attack overnight. It happened just after 11:30pm in midtown Savannah. Savannah-Chatham police say the man walked up to the Timesaver convenience store at East Broad and Anderson, bleeding heavily. Police say he had been stabbed in the left side and his throat had been slashed.
Officers immediately called for an ambulance and the unidentified man was rushed to Memorial Health for treatment.
Meanwhile police traced the blood trail to the front of a house in the 500 block of East Henry Street where they found his glasses. It appears that's where the attack happened.
Fortunately, the injured man's condition does not appear to be life-threatening, but police are still looking for his attacker.
