METTER, GA (WTOC) – Thousands gathered in Metter for the annual Another Bloomin' Festival.
The day long festival included an antique car show and road race while vendors filled the downtown park and squares and people enjoyed the weather and live music.
Organizers, including Mayor Billy Trapnell, say the festival and Easter serve as a reunion for people with Metter roots.
"I've seen some people this morning that i hadn't seen in 20 years," said Trapnell. " There are people who come home because of Easter. There are also those who come home this weekend because of the festival."
The festival takes its name from the spring time flowers as well as the abundance of festivals during the season.
