SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating the shooting of two men on Reynolds Street Tuesday that left one in critical condition.

Johnny Brandon Lovett, 19, and Jahmad Hamilton Green, 19, were found with gunshot wounds between 31st and 32nd streets after the shooting, which took place around noon.

Green was found on Reynolds St. with life-threatening injuries. Lovett was found in a lane a half-block away with less serious injuries. Police have yet to confirm the exact location where each man was actually shot. They were both transported to Memorial University Medical Center.

Green and Lovett both have records of multiple arrests in Savannah. Lovett is currently an inmate at the Coastal Transitional Center with a release date in 2014. He is serving five years for a 2009 burglary conviction.

"The people who do things like this need to go - simple as that. My mother [and I] we were planning on building her a house on that lot right there and she's not going to around here with this. So they just need to go," said George Green of Atlanta.

Police theorize the shootings stem from a single incident and found firearms in the vicinity of each victim.

SCMPD Violent Crimes detectives are investigating the shootings.
