The Great Savannah Cleanup

More than 100 students from Minnesota are in town today, helping to clean up the City of Savannah. It's all part of the Great American Cleanup. The program is a nationwide project that focuses on cleaning up America's neighborhoods.

Several city organizations are teaming up with the students, working on making Savannah more beautiful. It's a month-long cleanup project that out-of-town volunteers don't seem to mind. "Savannah's a nice place," said volunteer Kelli Watrud. "It's a lot warmer than Minnesota, I'll say that, and it's just good people here and good people to interact with and a good place to serve."
