Good news on the economy has many people optimistic. Rep. Max Burns (R-GA Dist. 12) was in Statesboro today, in Bulloch County. Managers at Franklin White Nissan talked with Burns about market growth they've seen in the last two months.
Last week, the US Labor Department announced the economy saw more than 300,000 new jobs in March. Burns said that was the largest one-month jump in 20 years. "Fifty-five percent of all manufacturers will add workers, will hire people in the second quarter," he said. "That's good news."
Congressman Burns is also making stops in Savannah and Athens today.
