Preps for Reidsville Easter Egg Hunt Underway

Looking for some good family fun this weekend? The answer may be in Reidsville. Organizers of the annual community Easter egg hunt are getting ready for tomorrow. Each year, hundreds of families come for old-fashioned fun and lots of eggs.

Organizers say they'll hide 90,000 eggs in the state park in Reidsville. In addition, they give away free food and door prizes. "We do this Easter egg hunt to get everybody on the same playing field," said event chairman Linton Brown, Jr. "The needy, the poor, the rich. It doesn't matter who they are. We want the children to come out and enjoy themselves. That's why we don't charge for this hunt."

The annual egg hunt starts tomorrow at 10am in Reidsville. The gathering starts at Reidsville Middle School's field and goes to Gordonia State Park.
