Hundreds Attend Career Expo

Coastal Empire students are preparing themselves for the jobs of tomorrow today. More than 300 students showed up at the fourth annual Youth Career Expo at the Savannah Civic Center yesterday. Students attended several workshops, teaching them how to look for work and career opportunities. Technical schools set up booths to try and recruit some students, not to mention all the military branches and various companies around the community.

"We're really hoping that the youths will gain what to expect from a career, how to gain career knowledge, how to find a job, how to keep a job, and how to maintain a job," said the expo's Neena Bloxham.

The career expo was sponsored by the Coastal Workforce Investment Board.
