Donations needed for family after fire destroys everything

ELLABELL, GA (WTOC) -

They lost everything after their home in Ellabell on Scooter Cove Lane went up in flames. The family was at the daughter's softball game when they got a call that would change their lives. Their home burned to ashes in a matter of minutes. They think it was because of an electrical problem. The family has two small children and they only have the clothes on their backs, everything else burned.

"The whole house is gone. There is nothing in the house that we can salvage. We have family that we are staying with, my mother for a few days until we can see about getting another place to live. Then, we are going to have to refurnish a whole house. We have got a long process to get back to where we were at," said Eric Murray, Ellabell.

More than anything, the family needs clothes and household items. Monetary donations can be made at any Heritage Bank through the Eric D. Murray DBA Fund. Clothing and other items can be dropped off at the Crazy Daisy in Pembroke or Thompson Tire in Ellabell.
