All this week, candidates for public office are making it official by qualifying. Today, former mayoral candidate and city alderman Pete Liakakis announced that he is getting back into the political arena. Liakakis will seek election for Chatham County Commission chairman.
He says his highest priority is "economic impact and crime prevention, but economic impact for bringing higher paying jobs to all the citizens of our community."
The deadline to qualify for federal, state and local elections is Friday at noon.
