You've put it off as long as you can. All those spring fix- up jobs around the house you promised to do. Now's the time, and you don't have to do it all alone. I found a place in the Internet where they won't do the work for you, but they will make sure you know what you're getting into, and how to get it done. The site is Hometips , and it is a commercial site, so expect ads. So far, nothing annoying, somebody has to pay the bill. Look around the front page and check all the topics. If you have something specific in mind, scroll down the right side of the page and check the general heading.
Since we're all thinking spring, i picked home exterior work. There's another column down the side of more specific topics. I have to warn you here, they are pretty basic. There's a reason. They're free. If you go back to that longer list... There's another column down the center of the page, with many more listings.
There's a lot more detail on the topic, scrolling on down, even lists of resources and suppliers. Obviously, sponsors, but that's not a bad thing. There's something else as well. All the way on the right hand side is a list of other related articles, but you have to pay for those, $3 each. Not outrageous, but I'm trying to keep you in the free stuff here.
So let's get back to that. On the home page. Lots of articles, and they change pretty regularly. This one's pretty timely, all about sprucing up the lawn. Lots of detail here, they'll take you from start to finish, with some solid tips. Even I learned something about lawns here. Which brings up an interesting point. How do you know if you can handle the job?
