Ogeechee River advisory lifted

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - An Ogeechee River advisory has been lifted on Wednesday afternoon.

The Effingham County Emergency Management Agency in cooperation with the Bulloch County EMA and the Bryan County EMA lifted the advisory.

Water samples that were tested and the Environmental Protection Division determined that the river meets water quality standards.

The Effingham County Emergency Management Agency will continue to closely monitor the Ogeechee River quality.
