Savannah woman may have helped husband murder two people

Heather Salmon was arrested Thursday at her Savannah home. The Long County Sheriffs Office charged her with double murder charges in the deaths of Michael Rorak and Tiffany York in December 2011.

Salmon faced a Long County Magistrate Judge Friday morning, who denied her bond. WTOC caught up with Salmon as she was being led back to the Long County Jail.

"Heather, did you help your husband commit murder?" WTOC asked her.

"No I did not, and that's all I'm going to say," she replied back.

Heather's husband, Christopher Salmon and three other Fort Stewart soldiers, Isaac Aguigui, Michael Burnett, and Anthony Pedin also face the same murder charges.

Long County Sheriff, Craig Nobles, says all five played a part in killing Michael Rorak and Tiffany York.

The couple was found shot in the head near Morgan Lake.

"This was a pretty heinous crime, one of the most serious we have seen," said Sheriff Nobles. "It is one of the most serious crimes we've seen here in Long County."

All five suspects will remain behind bars until their trials. No word on when that will be scheduled.
