SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A man accused of stealing an ambulance Friday night in Savannah and leading police on a chase is expected in court on Monday.

Melvin Williams, 27, is charged with trying to take a deputy's gun, stealing an ambulance and leading officers on a low-speed chase across Chatham County.

It happened as Williams was being treated St. Joseph's Hospital, waiting to be transported to Georgia Regional.
