HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) - A trial continued its second week at Fort Stewart for Army Spc. Neftaly Platero who is charged with fatally shooting two fellow soldiers while deployed to Iraq.
A third shooting victim who survived Spc. Jeffrey Shonk - told jurors Monday - he can't remember the attack. Two forensic experts testified they found little physical evidence to link Platero to the crime.
If convicted of premeditated murder by court-martial - Platero faces a possible life sentence.
