Savannah-Chatham police are investigating the death of a woman found in her home last Friday as a homicide. Yesterday morning, police arrested 33-year-old Taurein McCoy at police headquarters. He has been charged with murder in connection with the death of 31-year-old Carol Reed.
Just before 9am friday morning, police were called to a home in the 2800 block of Grenoble Street where a woman was found dead. After talking with McCoy, detectives found a possible argument had occurred between McCoy and Reed at the residence earlier.
Police say an autopsy shows Reed was killed during a domestic dispute with McCoy. He is currently in the Chatham County jail awaiting his arraignment.
