SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Justin Bartha, who was in the "The Hangover," "The Hangover II" and the National Treasure series of films, is latest actor to be cast in an upcoming film that will be partially shot in Savannah about the iconic New York City club CBGB.
Bartha will play Stiv Bators, the lead singer of The Dead Boys. More details will be announced this week.
Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins will play Iggy Pop; Johnny Galecki of the "Big Bang Theory" will play Terry Ork; Sting's daughter Mickey Sumner will play Patti Smith; Steven Schub of Chicago 8 will play DeeDee Ramone; Evan Alex Cole of "She's Outta My League" will play Richard Hell; Peter Vack will play Legs McNeil; Ashley Greene of "Twilight" with play Lisa Kristal; and Kerry Bische of Red State will play Mary Harron.
These actors will join Alan Rickman, Malin Akerman, Joel David Moore, Stana Katic and Rupert Grint in the production. More rock and rollers and other leading cast members are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Filming in Savannah on soundstages starts June 25. Filming will then take place New York City.
