Jenkins High School seniors celebrate graduation day

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Herschel V. Jenkins High School class of 2012 celebrated graduation day Thursday. Family and friends packed the Savannah Civic Center as 245 Warriors walked across the stage and received their diplomas, proof that the 12 years of hard work has finally paid off.

"This year's class did a little bit of everything. Most of us are athletic. We are involved in more than one extracurricular activity. We always have something to do and give our best to everything we have," said Marshall Akin, valedictorian.

Valedictorian Marshall Akin will be attending the University of Georgia in the fall.
