VARNVILLE, SC (WTOC) - The 70th annual Hampton County Watermelon Festival is under way and runs until June 24.
Activities include a family picnic, children's rides, games and plenty of watermelon. The theme of this year's festival is honoring Korean War veterans.
Organizers say this festival is all about celebrating the future and remembering the past.
