Man accused in nightclub shooting denied bond

ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

A man charged in connection with a shooting early Thursday morning at a St. Helena Island nightclub appeared before a judge Friday morning.

Two people were killed in the shooting and two others were injured in the shooting that erupted after a fight between two groups at the Midnight Soul Patrol club at 52 Toomer Rd.

Magistrate Richard Brooks denied bond to Lucas Miles Morgan, 25, of St. Helena, on a charge of attempted murder, the Island Packet reports. A bond hearing was set for July 30 for Joseph David Bowers, 27, also of St. Helena, who is charged with murder.
