A Savannah teen is wanted by Savannah-Chatham Metro Police in connection with the shooting of a woman Thursday night near a park in the Tatumville area.

Police said Kemarseilles Defuente Harvey, 19, lives in the 5200 block of Wendell Street. Harvey is known to be armed and is considered dangerous, according to police.

Police said Wanda Butler, 53, of the 500 block of Ewell Street, left a family gathering. She drove onto Sherman Avenue beside Staley Heights Park and pulled over to the curb to park about 10 p.m., according to police.

Police said several men were at the park and shots were fired. A bullet went through Butler's passenger door window and hit her in the face.

"It makes me think...am I safe to just ride down street? She was minding her own business. It is very disturbing that she was not involved in anything and to have that happen to her," neighbor Linda Carter said.

Butler was taken to Memorial University Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Harvey is described as a slender black male. He is 5'8" to 5'10" tall, has a medium complexion and medium-length dreadlocks. He sometimes wears glasses.

Anyone with information on the case or Harvey's whereabouts should call CrimeStoppers at 912.234.2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include "CStop2020" plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
