UPDATE: Police have identified the victims as 20-year-old Rasheed Wilson, who died of the wound to his head this afternoon, and 45-year-old Reggie Johnson, who was released from the hospital this afternoon.
Savannah-Chatham police are searching for a suspect or suspects in connection with a late-night attack in Hitch Village. About 10pm last night, police were called to David Court, off Randolph Street, for the report of shots being fired. When officers arrived, they found two men that had been shot.
Police say the first victim appears to be in his 20s. He was shot at least once in the head and lying near a bicycle. A man who appeared to be in his 30s was shot multiple times in the lower part of the body. Both victims were rushed to Memorial Health for treatment.
At last report, the man wounded in the head was listed in serious condition. The other victim's wounds did not appear life threatening. Detectives have not released any names yet.
Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 234-2020. A reward of up to $2,500 is offered.
