Jasper County sheriff's deputies are looking for an escaped felon. Twenty-seven-year-old Earl Busby escaped last night in Ridgeland. K-9 units and helicopters were called in to search for Busby, who was arrested yesterday afternoon on a parole violation.
Deputies took him to Beaufort Memorial for a mental evaluation. On the way back to the jail, he escaped from the back of the car, still wearing handcuffs. "He told the deputy he was felling like he needed to catch some air and when the deputy stopped at the stop sign he rolled down the window, he slid out of the window and went into the woods at 462 and Snake Road," said Sheriff Ben Riley.
Busby is facing aggravated assault charges for beating up his girlfriend last June. If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact the Jasper County Sheriff's Department.
