Man shot in car, family searching for answers

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Marcus Randolph's family is searching for answers after the 21 year old was found shot in a car on East 32nd Street June 27th.

"I can barely work. I can barely sleep. I wake up at night crying," Randolph's grandmother Mamie Ransom said.

Shortly after the murder, police had a person of interest. But no arrests were made.

"I feel like the people who were closest to him had something to do with it and they aren't saying anything. That is wrong," Randolph's fiance Toshi Griffin said.

Randolph's family suspects the killer was someone close to the family.

They believe the altercation may have stemmed from a turf war.

"If you didn't grow up on the Eastside, you won't come on the Eastside. If you didn't grow up on the Westside, you don't go on the Westside. That's just the way it is," Randolph's mother Jernaire Gadson said.

Police believe there were many people in the area on 32nd Street when Randolph was shot.
