Deral Anthony Crawford has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting that took place July 17 on E. 38th Street.

Witnesses say close to 30 teens were fighting at E. 38th Street and Ash Street Wednesday night. Larry Briggs was trying to break up the fight when police say Crawford pulled out a gun and shot him. Brigg's two sons, ages 16 and 13, were in the fight and say they saw Crawford shoot their father.
