CAMDEN CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Camden County Sheriff's Office in their investigation of a fatal shooting on Friday night.

Camden County sheriff's deputies responded at about 11:45 p.m. Friday to a shooting in the 300 block of 13th Street in Woodbine.

Charles Rico Smith, 34, of Woodbine, was discovered bleeding of a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff's office. Smith was taken to Camden Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

An investigation into Smith's death continues.
