From the city's official G-8 info site:
Due to the G-8 Summit, the City of Savannah's Residential Refuse Department has made temporary changes to refuse collection schedules for the week of June 6th – 12th. These changes affect only residential customers north of Gaston Street to the River from MLK Blvd. to East Broad Street and customers from Liberty Street south to Henry from Abercorn west to MLK Blvd.
Collections will be made in these areas on Monday, June 7th and Saturday June 12th. Please have your carts at their usual locations by 7:00 AM that day. All carts will be serviced by 10:00 AM. At that time, please remove carts from lanes or areas where collection was completed and secure them somewhere on your property. Please do not leave them out or near lanes or streets. It is recommended carts be placed in a secure area such as in a garage, under a secure staircase or at the side of a building. Carts remaining out after Tuesday, June 8th will be removed and not returned until Saturday, June 12th. Regular collection schedules will resume on Wednesday June 16th and Thursday June 17th.
