Anderson wins sheriff's race without runoff

Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson defeated two challengers in the July primary to avoid a runoff. With no democratic challenger, the win also gives Anderson another term.

Anderson garnered 4,185 votes compared to 1,766 for challenger Keith Howard and 1,860 for Tommy Sisson. Those totals are unofficial until they have been certified through the Secretary of State's office.

"It shows that the people are satisfied with the sheriff's office. I think they're pleased with the job we're doing. That includes the staff as much as me. I think people feel they do their job in a professional manner," Anderson stated.
