Golfers are getting the chance to take home a million dollars. Touchstone Energy's holding its annual Million Dollar Hole-in-One Shootout this week at Old South Golf Links in Bluffton.
Through Saturday, anyone can give it a shot. All you have to do is land your ball closest to the pin. The top 25 will then each get one chance on Sunday to make a hole-in-one for some large cash.
"It doesn't take any particular talent to participate in this event," said Jimmy Baker with Touchstone cooperative Palmetto Electric. "One lucky shot will do it, and we had quite a range of qualifiers last year, from young to old, from low handicaps to high, and it's just really fun to be out here and interacting with all the people participating."
Palmetto Electric's using the proceeds to buy ID kits for first graders all over South Carolina.
WTOC's own Chris Muth qualified for Sunday's shootout.
