First Aid Stations Set Up for G-8 Security

With thousands of law enforcement agents here to guard Savannah, first aid stations have been set up in several locations specifically for them. The services of nurses, physicians and athletic trainers have been donated by Saint Joseph's/Candler to treat any injured law enforcement officers. The temporary medical stations are equipped to treat any injuries that might occur while officers are out on patrol.

"We're going to have fluids for heat exhaustion, something as basic as that," explained the hospital's Angela Winn. "If there's minor scrapes or abrasions, we have stuff to clean that up actually bandage them up, splints and stuff of that nature."

These medical professionals will be working in four hour rotations until Friday.
