KINGSLAND, GA (WTOC) -

Wednesday evening, police found David Trauger, 67, in Kingsland, Georgia. When officers approached, they say he pulled a gun, so they shot and killed him.

Police sought David Trauger as a person of interest after a boat burned to the waterline at a marina in St. Mary's. When firefighters put the blaze out they found two badly burned bodies. The bodies were so badly burned police are unable to identify the, but there are two people missing from the St. Mary's area.

Karen Barnes and Larry Ford are those missing people. Police began looking for Trauger after the incident due to Trauger and Barnes' divorce earlier this year. In the divorce settlement, Barnes received the boat.

No officers were wounded in the shooting.
