Get ready for the Daniel Defense Pooler 5K

POOLER, GA (WTOC) - The Daniel Defense Pooler 5K benefits the Warriors Transition Unit at Fort Stewart. The theme of this year's event is Help Us Help Soldiers. Click here for three ways to help soldiers.

The third annual 5K race takes place at 8 a.m. Saturday at the West Chatham Middle School at 800 Pine Barren Rd. The Kids Sprint starts at 7:45 a.m. The race is open for runners and walkers. There will be a patriotic costume contest with the prizes going to the top man and woman participant.

Race packets can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah on Waters Avenue or starting at 7 a.m. Saturday at the race site in Pooler.
Daniel Defense has partnered with the First Presbyterian Church of Pooler and the Pooler Police Dept. to host the event.

WTOC is a sponsor and WTOC's Sonny Dixon is an Ambassador and master of ceremony for the event.
