METTER, GA (WTOC) -
Metter
police received a report of two missing juvenile brothers on Sunday morning.
Metter
police officers, a Metter investigator and a Candler County sheriff's deputy searched
extensively throughout the day for the missing brothers.
They
returned home safely at about 6:30 p.m., the brothers returned home safely. Investigator Tim Platt and Deputy Bryson
Collins were at the family's home meeting with the parents when the brothers returned.
The
teens admitted to their parents that they were inside the fenced-in area of the
Pineland Telephone Cooperative Inc. pole yard on West Lee Street. At this time,
police also got a call about recent break-in at the Pineland Telephone office.
Both
brothers had been on the Pineland Telephone property all day and went into the main office building, according to police. Police said they damaged the property inside the offices and had taken several items from the
business.
