SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

An HIV Aids testing center called My Brothaz Home is back open in a new location.

The testing center is now 127 Abercorn St. in suite 302, which is at the corner of Abercorn and East York streets. It's across from Oglethorpe Square in downtown Savannah.

Earlier this year, My Brothaz Home closed its Price Street doors after funding for the business was cut.

The funding fight didn't stop there. The executive director says Savannah has the second-highest number of HIV Aids cases in the state.

"We have a lot of people in our community that we know are positive, then we have about 5,000 - 6,000 people who don't even know that they are positive. So that's why it's important for MBH, or My Brothaz Home, to be available and to extend this service free," said Executive Director Mark Douglas.

People ages 16 years and older are welcome to walk-in or call for a free 20-minute testing appointment. My Brothaz Home's new number is 912.349.2935.
