Chicken Killers Sentenced to Clean Chicken Coops

Seven teens convicted of killing chickens now will have to clean out chicken coops for punishment. The teenagers beheaded two chickens to learn whether chickens really could run around with their heads cut off.

Now they're getting their chance to learn more about the animals. On Friday, a judge in Statesboro sentenced them to cleaning chicken coops and reading a book about animals' feelings.

All were convicted of animal cruelty.
