Georgia Power crews still helping with Hurricane Isaac cleanup

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Georgia Power crews are still out along the northern Gulf Coast helping to restore power to thousands a week after Hurricane Isaac struck.

Georgia Power is in Plaquemines Parish helping Entergy, a power company in Louisiana. Plaquemines Parish, not far from New Orleans, is still underwater and some areas are still more than four feet deep.

Pumps are running non-stop as crews try to get the water level down.

Georgia Power crews will be staying in eight person trailers until next week to help restore power.
