Brunswick man arrested in connection with infant's death

BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -

Glynn County Police Department say they have arrested the father of 3-month old Christian Powell, found dead at his home off Darien Hwy in Brunswick on Sept. 3.

Investigators say Willie James Stroud, 22, was arrested on Sept. 8 and charged with the murder of his son. According to the police department, the infant had extensive injuries that caused his death.

Police also discovered that the child's mother was only 15 years old when she became pregnant and Stroud was 21 at the time.

Stroud was also charged with child molestation.

Glynn County Police Department is continuing their investigation.
