BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -

Police are still trying to catch a suspect who shot a man dead while he was changing a flat tire on his car along Interstate 95 near Brunswick.

Glynn County police say Richard Hollis, 49, was found shot to death next to his car on the side of the road.

Witnesses reported seeing a small red or maroon car speeding off on I-95. Police aren't speculating on a motive, but they say Hollis' wallet was missing.

Hollis was traveling north from Jacksonville to North Carolina to visit relatives when he got a flat tire. He pulled over on the side of the road to change the tire near the Hwy 99 interchange.

"Obviously, some closure would be nice. I think the detective and the people on the case have been pretty generous and awesome dealing with that and communicating with the family and stuff," said Blake Dunbar, a family friend.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Glynn County Police Dept.
