Folks were enjoying a little Latin flair on River Street Saturday.
The seventh annual Fiesta Latina Festival was in full swing downtown. Attendees got the chance to try food, drinks and dancing and learn a little more about the Latin community right here in Savannah.
Organizers stress the importance of having events like these in our community.
"What we'd like to do is we'd like to show that a Hispanic community is very important for the Savannah community," said Esteban Villa, Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
"We are contributing members and there's a lot that we can provide to this community."
One of the partners for the event was the Blood Alliance. They were there encouraging the Hispanic community and everyone in general to donate blood whenever they can.
